BEATLEMANIA is about to sweep through Havering College in England and Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville.

The fourth International CrossOver Project will be Strawberry Fields Forever - a new Beatles musical written and produced by Peter Dayson, an advanced practitioner at the college. Peter said: “It is set in Liverpool in the late 1960s and tells the story of the trials and tribulations of the Burchill family. With more than 20 Beatles songs we very much hope it will be an evening to remember.”

The CrossOver Project has been an outstanding success since it started three years ago. The idea is that staff and students from Havering College and Hocking College in Ohio “cross over” for transatlantic productions in a London West End theatre and in America.

The standard is such that Godspell and Hair won Best Musical of the Year in 2007 and 2008 in America. Last year audiences were ahead of television’s X Factor judges when they applauded Havering College Performing Arts student Stacey Solomon in the 2009 CrossOver Project production of Oh! What a Lovely War.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students
